Tri-potassium phosphate is a strongly alkaline inorganic phosphate salt. It is widely used as a buffering agent, emulsifier, pH regulator, cleaning compound, water treatment chemical, fertilizer component, and laboratory reagent. It readily absorbs moisture and forms alkaline solutions in water
