Description

Copper(II) carbonate is an inorganic copper salt that commonly exists as a basic copper carbonate rather than a true neutral carbonate. It is widely used as a pigment precursor, fungicide intermediate, catalyst, and raw material for other copper compounds. On heating, it decomposes to copper oxide with release of carbon dioxide.
