Description

Barium Sulphide is an inorganic sulphide salt that typically appears as a white to greyish crystalline powder or lumps. It is soluble in water, forming alkaline solutions, and readily reacts with acids to release hydrogen sulphide gas. The compound is sensitive to moisture and air, gradually oxidizing to barium sulphate and carbonate on prolonged exposure.
