Description

Barium Hydroxide Octahydrate is a strong inorganic base that appears as white to colorless crystalline granules or powder. It is moderately soluble in water, forming strongly alkaline solutions, and is practically insoluble in alcohol. The compound readily absorbs carbon dioxide from air, forming barium carbonate, and therefore should be handled and stored carefully.
