Ferrous Sulphate AR (Analytical Reagent grade) is a highly pure iron(II) salt, commonly used in analytical chemistry, laboratory experiments, pharmaceutical formulations, and industrial applications. It provides highly bioavailable Fe²⁺ and is very soluble in water. Being hygroscopic, it must be stored in airtight containers to prevent oxidation to ferric sulphate.
