EDTA Dipotassium Salt (CAS 25102-12-9) is a white, odorless crystalline powder used as a chelating agent. It has a melting point of 255–280 °C (decomposes), a boiling point ~614 °C (decomposes), a molecular formula C₁₀H₁₈K₂N₂O₁₀ (dihydrate), a molar mass ~404.45 g/mol, density ~1.77–1.80 g/cm³, pH ~4–5 (0.1 M aqueous solution), shelf life ~5 years, purity ≥98%, and is freely soluble in water but insoluble in ethanol
